Images of actors
These are the actresses who appear most in my documentary and why I chose to use them:
Helen Dimmock - Dr. Christine House.
I chose Helen to be my Doctor because she is an adult in her 40's so she looks like she could have the status of a doctor. She also speaks professionally and was willing to be a part of my documentary.
Maddi Clarke - Maddi Clarke
I chose Maddi to be my play my other girl suffering from OCD because she studies Drama and was able to put herself in the shoes of someone who had OCD from being good friends with me for many years. She was also able to convincingly describe how someone with OCD may feel and how they're friends and family may feel too.
Bethany Dimmock - Bethany Dimmock
I chose to play myself because I thought that it would be the best way to get a good result from the documentary because it was about myself suffering from OCD so it would be best if I played myself as I knew well how I felt and the different experences I had because of suffering from OCD. I also thought if I played myself it would be more convincing to the audience and would work best.

Storyboard
This is my story board for my first ideas for my documentary. This is roughly how I want my documentary to run. This has featured all the main parts of my documentary although there may be things I add as I start my filming and start putting my documentary together.
Shot list
My opening shot I am going to use in a medium close up. This will be used when I am talking into the camera on my own about my OCD. I am using this shot because the focus is just on me and introducing myself and my story and this shot allows the audience to focus on me as the main character and nothing else around it as it doesn't show the other things surrounding the main character and by having a medium close up it is more personal.
The shots I am going to use when talking to the psychologist and the other girl suffering with OCD is wide shots and mid shots. I am going to switch between these two because I want to show the surroundings on the two people I am going to interview as this is important to show the office of the psychologist to make the feeling of the documentary better and the surroundings of the girl as being in a very normal setting so it shows the audience she is a normal everyday girl. The mid shot is also important because the camera needs to focus on the person being interviewed but without being to close and impersonal.
I also want to use extreme wide shots, this will be used to show the environments that are surrounding me as I go on my journey to find out more things about my OCD. These will be used when filming big buildings around London or filming the trains going past as I make my way to the psychologists building or just filming different scenes that illustrate going on a journey somewhere.
The other two shots I'm going to use is over the shoulder shots. This will be used when I'm interviewing the people to show that they are speaking to me about my OCD and then explaining OCD in general. Im also going to use noddy shots which will show me listening and reacting to the girl and psychologist.

Images of locations
These are the main locations I have used for the filming of my documentary.
This location is at Bishop Ramsey School and is the head of sociology office. I used this in my documentary as the office of my psychologist. I used this because it looks like a normal office and not like it could just be in a school. It was also the right kind of space I wanted.
This location is Ruislip manor library. This is where I filmed myself doing the research on the computer. I used this location because in my documentary I wanted it to look like I had gone somewhere to research and hadn't done it from my house so it looked more professional. The library was therefore perfect to do this as it had a computer, was quiet and the background was plain.
This is Ruislip Manor tube station. This was used to film the train going past for my documentary. I chose this location because a lot of the documentaries I watched had some kind of transport shown to show their journey from one place to another. I therefore used it to show my journey from the psychologist to the other girl with OCD. I chose this particular tube station because the way the train is positioned was good and worked well to film.
This is the location I used to interview the other girl who had OCD. I chose this location because I wanted the idea of it being a relaxed interview between two teenagers to get through in my documentary. Therefore filming in a bedroom and sitting on the bed for the interview I think made this come across well.
Final Synopsis Idea
My story is going to be myself on a journey to find out more about living with OCD. This is going to include me talking about myself and my symptoms and when my OCD first started and how my family realised that it was all unusual at the beginning filming myself in a room in my house. I will then be speaking to a psychologist about OCD in her office and learn more about it. This will include learning about treatments, statistics of people living with OCD and how to cope with having OCD. I will then move on to meet someone else with OCD and share experiences with them and learn about their symptoms and the different ways they are coping. The filming will also include me on a computer looking up about OCD and researching it as well as looking at specific organisations that deal with OCD and help people. My documentary will end similar to how it started with me filming myself in the same place talking about what I have learnt about having OCD and how it will help me in the future.
Images of costumes
These are the images and descriptions of the costumes the people that appear in my documentary most wear and the reasons I have chose these outfits:
The doctor is wearing this smart shit and black trousers to show she is a professional and to show the audience her status as a doctor. This is clear because she is dressed smartly. I chose this outfit because I wanted to make it clear to the audience her status and make it clear to them she is a doctor by the way is she dressed as doctors usually dress very smartly.
Maddi is wearing very casual clothes. This is because I wanted the interview to feel very relaxed to the audience as it has gone from a formal interview with a doctor to an informal interview with another girl suffering from the same problem so I wanted to make this clear to the audience and by having her in casual clothes in a bedroom gets this across well. I chose her to wear something she would normally wear in everyday life.
I have a number of outfits during the documentary as I am trying to show myself on a journey so I have to change clothes to do this. This makes it clear to the audience that the documentary is following me through a period of time because my clothes are different. I chose to have very casual clothes again because it is a personal documentary following me on a journey about life so I thought I should wear what I would wear in every day life.
